Hi. We’re Agile Learning Facilitators, or ALFs. We are educators, social entrepreneurs, and parents who work in partnership with young people and are committed to shifting the education paradigm in our society.

We run a network of schools, homeschool groups, and other education initiatives that fundamentally empower young people to create their own lives…and we lead by example.

2025 Happenings

(check back to see 2026 events as they’re added)

The ALC Network came together at ALC Mosaic for the first ALF Summer in 2014 to connect our community of facilitators, orient newcomers, and get those in start-ups the support needed to grow thriving ALCs.

By 2016, we had outgrown our ability to accomplish all those intentions with a single program…so we decentralized and moved to encouraging ALCs to offer their own smaller facilitator retreats through the year.

ALF Summer 2020 didn’t happen due to COVID, but many of us came together to create a 10 part webinar series covering the basics of ALC. Check it out here!

In 2021, some centers were able to resume hosting small in-person trainings for local folks, and some facilitators organized a week-long online ALF unconference. 2022 began a process of reviewing what kind of events we want to promote as trainings and how we want to promote non-training events we’re equally excited about. We also saw more online resources created, like Agile4Collaboration!

Multiple communities are now back to hosting, but the focus and format of the events continue to evolve. If you don’t see an event from an ALC you wish would host, reach out and ask them what they’d need to make something happen! They may just need the affirmation that if they plan something, people will show up.

We keep experimenting and iterating, so keep checking back for updates!
